Murom-M
Mobile observation post with day and thermal cameras on a mast (not a radar)
A transportable observation post made by the Russian company Stilsoft (Stavropol): a long-range zoom camera and a thermal imager on a pan-tilt head atop a telescopic mast, battery-powered, with a wireless link to a remote post. Since spring 2023 the system has been deployed along almost the whole front; according to Ukrainian intelligence it is used to adjust artillery fire and to guide sabotage and reconnaissance groups. It is cheap (≈ USD 50,000) and therefore a favourite target for Ukrainian FPV drones. Note: the manufacturer's catalogue lists 'Murom' and 'Murom-P'; the name 'Murom-M' comes from Ukrainian reporting.
