Transport, assault and EW helicopter

The most-built helicopter in the world (> 17,000, > 50 countries). Besides transport there are combat and special versions: the armoured Mi-8AMTSh 'Terminator' with anti-tank missiles, the modern Mi-8MTV-5, and the Mi-8MTPR-1 with the Rychag-AV jamming system, which jams air-defence fire-control radars and has been used in Ukraine. That EW version makes the family relevant to air defenders and aircrew.
