Cheap small cruise missile / 'missile-drone' for mass use

Small turbojet-powered cruise missile that Rostec presents as a munition 'between a missile and a drone'. First shown as a mock-up in September 2026 (El Alamein Airshow, Egypt). According to Ukrainian analysts it is a direct conversion of the Dan-M target drone from the early 1990s (Sokol design bureau), originally built to mimic Tomahawks for air-defence training; Russia has not confirmed this. Ukraine's Air Force reports it together with Kronshtadt's S8000 Banderol ('Banderol/Dan-T'): one Russian analyst calls Dan-T the export version of Banderol, whereas HUR expects Dan-T to replace Banderol. The threat lies not in technology but in price and numbers: cheap enough to fire by the thousand and drain expensive surface-to-air missiles — the same cost asymmetry as with Shahed/Geran.

Threat

Production (estimate)
According to RBC-Ukraine ≈ 2,000 Dan-T by end-2026 and a target of 14,000 in 2027; Banderol ≈ 80/month — estimates, not a confirmed stockpile
Countermeasure
Interceptable by fighters (even a MiG-29 with an R-60), SHORAD/MANPADS and cheap Ukrainian systems (Brave1); the problem is cost per intercept, not feasibility
Threat level
Medium per round, high as a mass weapon against air defence and critical infrastructure
