Low-altitude acquisition radar of the S-300P on a tall mast
I-band FMCW radar designed to find low-flying targets with a small radar signature, such as cruise missiles. It is usually mounted on the 40V6M mast of 24 to 39 m so it can see over terrain and buildings, and feeds target data to the S-300P fire control. It uses continuous wave, which makes it harder to detect than a pulse radar.
Belongs withSA-20 GargoyleStrategic SAM
